6th Update for The Laws of Software Engineering — after a Hiatus

Hey folks!

It's been a minute since I gave an update. I'm at the half way mark 6 of 12 chapters.

I changed jobs back in November and took some time off writing to get my feet in my new role and to get some distance.

When I got back to the book, I realized two things with that distance.

The book I promised you all was this, "Conway’s Law. Brooks’ Law. Gall’s Law....They are sayings, proverbs, wisdom that have stood the test of time. This book is a compilation of that wisdom."

The book I have written is not that book. Rather than a simple compilation, I'm expounding on and trying to provide evidence that each law is true. I have some additional realizations there.

Given that reality, I'm going to take a step backwards and split what I'm doing into 2 separate books.

My intent is to finish off the original thing; the thing you all signed up to read about, a compilation of a bunch of named things that generally call themselves laws.

Just wanted to share that with you all!

Until next time!
